family building benefits for all

Much can be done to better support fertility and family building

Now more than ever, there’s a strong push from employees to have better fertility benefits through their workplace.
Despite this strong push for more inclusive family building benefits and support for the fertility journey, the current state of support is grim

With the average age of a first-time mom in the United States increasing to 27 (a record high according to the CDC), data shows that many women are waiting until their late 30s or even early 40s to have a baby. This means that women may discover that they’re trying to conceive right as their fertility is declining.
Without fertility benefits, more senior-level female employees who are increasingly hard to retain and whose leadership can have a huge impact on a company’s success may be looking for a new workplace where they can build their family with the support they need.

Wondering how to incorporate fertility benefits at your organization?
For those who do have fertility benefits such as Artificial Reproductive Technology (ART) coverage, this is how their benefits are formatted.
